Recommendations for makeup tutorial

I have tested and learned from working makeup artist the products that work. Brushes and application make a huge difference. These are my recommendations of brands that work for a lot of people. Most of these I have personally tested. If I have not, then they were recommended to me by someone I trust.

High end- this means it is sold at Sephora or big department stores. These stores have samples out for you to test to help you get the perfect color match. I personally have found that I end up spending less money by going to these stores because drugstores do not have samples, and I often have had to buy multiple shades to find something that matches. That said, there is a lot of high quality drugstore makeup out there.

Drugstore- this is make-up that you buy at a drugstore, or a store like Target, Walmart & Ulta. Ulta carries both high end and drugstore. Drugstore brands will not have samples out to test. They are a lower price point.

Foundation and Concealer are the trickiest to buy without testing. If I only was going to buy a high end of a few things, this is where I would invest my money. When shopping at Sephora or Ulta, they will give you a sample of anything they have testers out for so you can take it home to test.

Foundation- follow instructions on this video to learn how to pick your perfect shade. You can also ask for the help of staff at the store, but they are often trying to sell and sometimes certain brands in the store they are incentivized to sell.
