Running Community
Let’s talk about the weather….
Back home after a morning run
The weather is changing, the sun sets early, and suddenly getting outside to train feels… harder.
This is the time of year when motivation dips and routines start to wobble.
This is also the season when community matters most.
This is when we show up for one another — with encouragement, accountability, stubborn determination…. and maybe a little mule energy.
We created a FREE challenge to help us all stay on track…. together!
If you are feeling a little “ornery” about the weather…we have a FREE fitness challenge for you!
Join with all new & old friends for free- Ornery Mule on Strava & OMR Run Club
“Don’t be an Ass…move your Ass- 25 day fitness challenge”
Invite others to run, hike, or exercise in your favorite way.
Post photos of your accomplishments
Give & receive kudos!
HICCUP in set up- I set this up as an event by mistake, I am trying to figure out how to change it to a Challenge! Thanks for your patience as I try and fix. Thanks you!
2nd part of the challenge is Journaling:
Use the Run. Glow. Repeat. FREE journal to track your progress.
A journal helps:
Stay accountable
Track progress even when it feels slow
Notice patterns in energy, sleep, mood, and movement
Celebrate the small wins (which matter more this time of year)
Keep your goals in front of you, not buried under stress and excuses
You can also track your runs/hikes on strava and join the Ornery Mule Racing run club page.
Here are a few ideas on what to track in journal:
Warm-up: How did your body feel starting out?
Miles + minutes: Not a competition — just information.
Effort level: Easy? Strong? Tired?
Mood before + after: This one tells the real story.
A tiny win: “Got out the door.” “Didn’t quit.” “Felt the fresh air.”
Weather: Helps explain energy shifts and training decisions.
Gratitude: Something small from your run or your life.
You’ll have:
A clearer picture of your habits
A record of your strength
Better understanding of what helps you thrive
Momentum that carries you into your next training cycle
Let’s do this friends!
Here are a couple of my favorite journaling books.
This lightweight book is simply a run tracker. It is small, lightweight & easy to travel with. It has enough room to write in things I am wanting to track. LINK
When my health was at its lowest point, I designed this book to help me stay on track with water, fitness, organization, nutrition and more. LINK
The book I designed was very helpful when I was highly focused on meal planning, water intake, and building new healthy habits. I used this book to successfully lose weight & get my running back on track.
I also created a free 25 day fitness journal that you can print today and start journaling.
