How I Rebuilt My Confidence One Habit at a Time
The Journey That Sparked Glam. Glitter. Grow.
During my weight-loss journey, I had something that changed everything for me: solid, sustainable nutrition guidance. Not fad diets or extremes - real tools that helped me fuel my body in a way I could maintain for life. I learned what foods kept my energy steady, what portion sizes made sense for me, and how to nourish myself without feeling deprived.
And even with that strong support, progress was still slow. Anyone who has tried to lose weight in a healthy way knows the truth: even when you’re doing everything right, results take time. A lot of time. That slow pace can wear on you. It can test your patience, your confidence, and your belief that change is even possible.
I had days where I felt frustrated… discouraged… unsure. But I stayed committed to building the healthiest version of my body - not just to change how I looked, but to feel strong, energized, and proud when I looked in the mirror.
While I was rebuilding my health from the inside, something else began to stir in me: I wanted my outside to reflect how hard I was working on the inside. Not in a superficial way - but in a grounded, confident, “I’m showing up for myself” kind of way.
That's when I dove- very deeply-into makeup. Techniques, formulas, tools, color theory, brands, performance… I studied it all. I fell in love with creating simple, fresh, everyday looks that helped me feel put together. Just five minutes of intentional care shifted how I walked into my day.
It reminded me that caring for ourselves is never just about one thing. It’s a full-circle journey.
We need nutrition that sustains us.
Movement that strengthens us.
Mindset that helps us grow.
Beauty and style that help us feel confident and comfortable in our own skin.
And as this full picture became clearer, I knew I didn’t want to keep it to myself. I wanted to create a space where women could come together and learn these tools - not alone, but in community.
But I also knew I couldn’t do this alone. So I partnered with two women who have shaped my own journey in the most meaningful ways.
Irene Kok of GetUFit Fitness is, truly, a weight-loss whisperer. She’s the reason my nutrition stayed on track. She guided me, grounded me, and gently pulled me back in every time I drifted. Her knowledge is unmatched, but it’s her heart - and her ability to meet women exactly where they are - that makes her extraordinary.
Nick Wright understands something most of us were never taught: how to dress our real bodies, in every season of life, in a way that feels confident, authentic, and comfortable. She has helps women discover the joy of clothing that doesn’t hide them - but celebrates them.
Together, the three of us help women with:
Nutrition. Beauty. Style. Movement. Confidence. Growth.
That is how the Glam. Glitter. Grow. Retreat was born.
Glam is about showing up as your best self.
Glitter is about loving who you are right now.
Grow is about becoming more - in joy, in health, in confidence, and in life.
This retreat is my way of giving back the tools, the support, and the heart that carried me through my own transformation. And I feel incredibly grateful to lead it alongside women who bring so much wisdom and compassion to the table.
Every woman deserves the chance to feel strong, confident, and fully alive - inside and out.
